I believe the most meaningful journeys are created through connection – to the culture, the people, the landscapes, and the stories that make each destination unique.

My approach to travel is rooted in curiosity, creativity, and a deep appreciation for art, nature, culture, and community. Every journey I curate is designed to go beyond the expected, incorporating meaningful experiences, UNESCO World Heritage sites, local traditions, exceptional cuisine, artistic discovery, and authentic connections with the places we visit.

Before becoming a travel curator, I spent years traveling the world as a dancer, choreographer, and educator, exploring Central and South America, Europe, and Asia. Those experiences shaped my understanding of culture and strengthened my belief that travel has the power to expand perspective, inspire creativity, and bring people together.

After many years living in the heart of New York City, I now call Asheville, North Carolina home – a place that continues to inspire my love of nature, creativity, and community.

Drawing on my background as an artist, educator, curator, and creative entrepreneur, I created Sara Baird Travel to design journeys that feel intentional, personal, and meaningful.
